Maybe. I think they'll stay away from the Swedes with their first pick unless Lindholm slips to them at 9.

Todd, I liked your scouting report on Hartman. Thought it was dead on, except that he has played way more wing than center. You are little higher on Nurse than I am, mostly because I think he is a guy that will do everything well, but nothing great. IMO, a great guy to take between 10 and 20, but maybe not a Top 10 pick. I like Zadarov better.

Our best prospects are d-men right now. The problem is actual NHL defense, not defensive prospects.

On the other hand we have very little for NHL centermen and very little for center prospects.

I'm not that high on Nurse. I also like Zadorov better. I put my draft projection, not where I ranked him but where I expect he'll go.

Monahan is going to the Flames at 6. Then the Flames with call Jersey at offer St Louis and Pitts pick for The devils pick and draft local kid Shinkaruk. Then the Flames sign Clarkson for and Fillpula for too much money.

As Lahey eluded to, we have defensemen coming. Musil, Marincin, Klefbom, Gernat are all likely to make the NHL. I wouldn't be mad if they drafted a Dman in the top ten but doesn't help our organization in the next few years. We also have a glaring hole down the middle. I'm not a fan of Gagner long term, so I want Monahan, Barkov, or hell even Lindholm.

I really don't care what we draft. BPA is the way I generally go. Hate for that to be a smaller non-pysical winger though. But simple fact is there will d and c available when we pick. We should be okay.

If he is going to do that, he would be best served trading down and picking up additional picks. But, they can get such a good player at that pick, I doubt that they roll the dice on a goalie.
